Phlebotomy Technician course starting soon – Sign up today!
DCTC’s Certified Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) course begins January 9. This program prepares students to collect blood specimens from patients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students will be provided with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in outpatient or inpatient health care facilities.
In preparation for this course, our Phlebotomy Instructor Kathy Miller and Director Karen Christiansen attended a live webinar, Preparation Strategies for the ASCP Phlebotomy Certification Examination, from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. “We were given valuable information and useful tips to help students prepare to take the certification exam,” said Director Karen Christiansen. “One item stressed was the importance of a study plan, which we plan to incorporate in the course.”
