Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary approach merging the study of control systems with mechanical, electronic and software engineering. Our convenient, evening courses are taught by industry experts who will give you the skills you need to advance your industrial technology career.
Industrial Electricity (Starts Early Fall)
This is a fundamental course encompassing AC and DC electricity to build a foundation for the student to advance on to applications which are based on powered and controlled systems.
Motor Controls (Starts Late Fall)
This course is designed to give machine operators, maintenance mechanics and technicians an understanding of electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams with an emphasis on motor controls. Prerequisite: Knowledge of AC/DC electricity, or completion of Industrial Electricity.
Programmable Logic Controllers
Beginning through advanced training in PLC technology and programing. Prerequisite: Knowledge of AC/DC electricity, or completion of Industrial Electricity.
- PLC I (Starts Early Spring)
- PLC II (Starts Mid Spring)
- PLC III (Starts Late Spring)
Systems Troubleshooting (Starts Late Spring)
The process of quickly and effectively locating faults in an electrical system will be the focus of the troubleshooting course.
