DCTC is one of only four nationally recognized American Welding Society (AWS) Accredited Test Facilities (ATF) in Minnesota. This means DCTC can officially test and qualify welders/brazers (WB) to thousands of WB processes, certifications and codes. A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from DCTC can help a company identify the relevant code(s) and/or create tests unique to their operations for purposes such as:
- Tests for employment
- Tests for internal advancement/verify process mastery
- Tests to become certified to particular codes/standards Codes/Standards DCTC may certify to include but are not limited to: American Welding Society (AWS), American Petroleum Institute (API), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), A company-supplied or developed welding specification
